I believe strongly in teamwork principles and in supporting ideas that are right for our community; ideas that are not strictly based upon party politics. I am disturbed by partisan infighting and rubber stamp politics. I want to see Florida's problems resolved. It's time for real solutions and common sense to be brought to Tallahassee. We need change to protect our children's future and insure our financial security. Transpartisan solutions will move us beyond division by applying proven methods of discussion and conflict resolution. With my approach, we will achieve the ideals of our democratic republic by combining - freedom, equality, and a regard for the common good, with - order, responsibility and security.

I am a native of Miami, married with three children enrolled in Miami-Dade County public schools, a business owner, and a practicing physician. "Florida is experiencing a broken economy with job losses, high taxes, soaring insurance premiums, and defective government procurement policies. Our public schools are failing - we have underpaid teachers, low test scores, and poorly funded colleges and universities. Furthermore, there is limited access to health care and public services. It is now time for someone with integrity, vision, and the wisdom of real world experience to fix Florida; someone who can take the reins of responsibility and guide Florida back to being a strong and viable community. I believe I am that kind of leader."
